About Us

Grand Rapids for Affordable Housing is an advocacy organization in the Grand Rapids area, fighting for the rights of people who are most vulnerable in our community. We specifically want to push the city (and state, and nation) to support people making between zero and 30% of Area Median Income (AMI).

GR for Affordable Housing started as the housing working group for the Grand Rapids Democratic Socialists of America (GR DSA) joining forces with the Grand Rapids Homes4All. Working together we are stronger and better able to advocate for our unhoused neighbors.
